Hael Heritage
FEES

Clear fees for practical heritage building advice

Fees depend on the nature of the building concern, the level of advice required, and whether the work can be handled through initial guidance or needs a more detailed review.

Where possible, the scope and fee are agreed before work begins, so you know what level of support is being provided.

TRADITIONAL BUILDING CONCERNS REVIEW

£295 + VAT

A focused remote review of one primary building concern, based on the information supplied. Payment is due before the Review is booked. Any site visit or further consultancy is scoped and quoted separately.

FEE APPROACH

A proportionate fee for the right level of advice

Hael Heritage’s fees are based on the type of support needed. A simple initial discussion or review will usually be very different from more detailed advice, written guidance, or a site visit.

The aim is to keep the work proportionate: clear enough to be useful, but not more involved than the concern actually requires.

Fees are agreed before work begins

Before any detailed work begins, the likely scope and fee can be discussed so there is a clear understanding of what is included.

WHAT CAN AFFECT FEES

What can affect the fee?

The fee can depend on the nature of the building, the type of concern, the level of review needed, and whether written advice or follow-up guidance is required.

The type of property

Older, listed, or traditionally built properties may require more careful consideration, especially where materials, age, or previous alterations affect the advice.

The nature of the concern

A focused question may only need brief guidance, while wider concerns such as damp, movement, decay, repairs, or suitability of previous work may need a more detailed review.

The level of advice needed

Some enquiries can be answered with a practical review and verbal guidance, while others may need written advice, further research, or more structured follow-up.

Whether further support is needed

If additional guidance, contractor discussions, follow-up notes, or further review is needed after the initial advice, this can be agreed separately.
